aGYaanadhvaantavidhvaMsaprachaNDamatibhaaskaram.h .

aatmano brahmataaGYaanaM nIraajanamihaatmanaH .. 24..

 

Here, the waving of the lamp to the Self is the great and exceedingly

shining

knowledge of one's identity with Brahman, the destroyer of the darkness

of ignorance.

 

aGYaana = (spiritual) ignorance

dhvaanta = dark

vidhvaMsa = destruction

prachaNDam = great

ati = exceedingly

bhaaskaram = shining

aatmanaH = of one's Self

brahmataa = (the state of being) Brahman

GYaanaM = knowledge

nIraajanam = (waving of) lamp

iha = here

atmanaH = of Self
