Guest guest
Hari OM! Jai Poojya Gurudev Adambhitvam Adambhitvam is the mental state in which dambha is absent. Dhamba is a mental attitude which results in an expression quite similar to the expression of manitvam, it manisfests as self glorification. When I trumpet my glory for what is not there, when by design I give impression that I am something which I know I am not. When I give expression to dambhitvam it is because I think that through my pretences I will impress others who will then respond to me ina way that will make me feel good. Dambitvam arises because one did not feel good about oneself, One did not accept oneself as he is. He want to be different. Dambitvam requires a very long Memory.Because Truth does not require a long Memory. Dambitvam is a big problem for the Mind. Any dambitvam is a commitment to falsehood. A mind commited to falsehood cannot be a happy and quiet mind, which is available for learning. Dambitvam is non-receptive to the teaching of Vedanta. One did not accept oneself and project an image that he knows is false, where as the whole teaching of Vedanta is owning up of myself as I am. With Love & OM!
