Guest guest
Hari OM! Jai Poojya Gurudev Ahimsa Ahimsa comes from the Sanskrit word Himsa which means to hurt, injure or cause harm. Ahimsa which means non-injury, non- harmfulness, reflects my desire to live free of hurt or pain or threat of any sort. Thoughts can cause pain, If I know that some one holds hurtful thoughts about me, although these thoughts are not expressed in deeds or words, I am hurt. So Ahimsa is not causing any means of harm or hurt or injury. Mansa-Vacha-Karmana, by thoughts, by words or by deed. Ahimsa requries sensitivity and alertness, it is a value finds expression in my attitude toward plants as well as toward human beings and animals. Wanted destruction of plant life indicates a lack of sensitivty for the value of Ahimsa, and it is a value for nondestruction or damage to any part of creation. I treat all things and beings with sensitivity and appriation of their common existence with me, with such an attitude I become an alert, observant person with a sensitive saintly mind, which is ready to listen and appreciate the truth.
