Namaste,

 

shravaNaM tasya devasya shrotavyaabhaavachintanam.h .

mananaM tvaatmaliN^gasya mantavyaabhaavachintanam.h .. 29..

 

Contemplation on the lack of that which ought to be heard is the

listening of

the Divine Being; contemplation on the absence of that which ought to be

meditated on is verily the meditation of the symbol of the Self.

 

shravaNaM = listening

tasya = (of) It

devasya = (of the) Divine Being

shrotavya = that which ought to be heard

abhaava = absence

chintanam = contemplation

mananaM = meditation

tu = verily

aatmaliN^gasya = of the symbol of the Self

mantavya = that which ought to be thought of

abhaava = absence

chintanam.h = contemplation
