dhyaatavyaabhaavaviGYaanaM nididhyaasanamaatmanaH .

samastabhraantiviksheparaahityenaatmanishhThataa .. 30..

 

The constant single-pointed meditation of the Self is the absence of

reflection on worldly knowledge. Devotion to the Self is the absence of

all confusion and distraction.

 

dhyaatavya = that which ought to be meditated on

abhaava = absence

viGYaanaM = worldy knowledge

nididhyaasanam = single-pointed meditation

aatmanaH = of the Self

samasta = all

bhraanti = confusion

vikshepa = distraction

raahityena = absence

atmanishhThataa = devotion to the Self
