Guest guest
Namaste, What is the difference between an object and the essence of an object? Warm regards, Chittaranjan
Guest guest
Very profound question, indeed, CNji. I like it. Wouldn't like to scratch my skull for an answer because I know - I AM, THE OBJECT IS. That is the beginning and end of it. Guest guest
Namaste all A tentative attempt at jest- I shudder to think of a thread that starts and changes as ' essence of an object' ; 'essence of essence- previously essence of an object' and so on. On a serious note , I think we are being taken to a discussion on 'swadharma' - 'that' because of which a 'thing' is 'that thing'? Many namaskarams to all Sridhar advaitin, "Madathil Rajendran Nair" <madathilnair> wrote: > > Very profound question, indeed, CNji. I like it. Thank you Nairji, you have given us the alpha and the omega of it! advaitin, "asridhar19" <asridhar19> wrote: > A tentative attempt at jest- I shudder to think of a thread > that starts and changes as ' essence of an object'; 'essence > of essence - previously essence of an object' and so on. I like your sense of humour, Sridharji. Your jesting words invites discussion on another crucial topic - the essence of change! :-) > On a serious note , I think we are being taken to a discussion > on 'swadharma' - 'that' because of which a 'thing' is 'that thing'? You are right, it would lead to a discussion on swadharma. Also samanya and vishesha. Also meaning and object. Also word and meaning. I only asked this question because I was intrigued by the following statement in Bhaskarji's post: "This *essence* was/is/will be there forever without undergoing any modifications at any point of time but the names & forms which constitute as jagat changes its colour from one state to another."
