Namaste,

 

evaM vedaantakalpoktasvaatmaliN^gaprapuujanam.h .

kurvannaa maraNaM vaapi kshaNaM vaa susamaahitaH .. 32..

 

Thus the sacred precepts of the Upanishads on the homage to the Self

of oneself,

should be performed till death, or even for a moment with intense

concentration.

 

evaM = thus

vedaanta = upanishad

kalpa = sacred precepts

ukta = declared

svaatmaliN^ga = one's Self

prapuujanam = homage

kurvannaaH = performers

maraNaM = death

vaa = or

api = even

kshaNaM = momentary

vaa = or

susamaahitaH = intently absorbed

sarvadurvaasanaajaalaM padapaaMsumiva tyajet.h .

vidhuuyaaGYaanaduHkhaughaM mokshaanandaM samashnute .. 33..

 

The snare of all the wicked inclinations must be given up like the

dust off the feet.

Thus removing the flood of sorrow caused by spiritual ignorance, one

attains the

beatitude of liberation.

 

sarva = all

durvaasanaa = wicked inclinations

jaalaM = snare

pada = step

paaMsum = dust

iva = as

tyajet = give up

vidhuuya = removing

aGYaana = (spiritual) ignorance

duHkha = sorrow

oghaM = flow

moksha = freedom

aanandaM = bliss

samashnute = attains
