Guest guest
Namaste, Are we all born with Avidya ? Prakriti and Purush are anadi (beginningless) says Gita. An infant does not have an ego or 'Ahamkar' but as he/she grows older it develops. How would we characterize the state of an infant ? There are around 6 billion in this Avidya (population of the world) and more are added to the list everyday. This will continue to happen till there are not enough natural resources or we get hit by a meteor or there is nuclear war or something else. The one infinite Brahman is the same "yesterday, and today and forever" and it does not matter how many live or die in this world, does it ? At the end of my material life does it really matter whether I lived like Hitler or Mother Teresa (It definitely matters during my material life) ? I (Shailendra Bhatnagar) am nothing, Brahman is the only absolute reality. There is neither I nor your nor me - there is one absolute reality - Brahman. The day my material body perishes, thats it. Who or what is keeping a record of what I did in this world ? After all, we say this world is illusory and mithiya. Is Brahman keeping track of what I did in this mithiya world ? Brahman is beyond senses and intellect, right ? So the chaitanya bhav (The I consciousness) in me does not really know what good or bad deeds Shailendra did here, does it ? It is said ( I believe Prof VK said this), there is a mysterious knot between the "sthul shareer" (material body) and Jivatma which cannot be explained. But isn't the term jIvatma erroneous for there is only one Atma - the Atma ? How can there be reincarnation then ? Dr Sadanandaji says "There is my ‘total bank account’ of karma (saMchita karma), of which I brought into this life only those that can be exhausted (prArabdha karma) and, if in the process I make new ones (AgAmin karma), which cannot be exhausted in this life, these are deposited to my account. Until all vasanas get neutralized, I will continue taking births in one form or the other. " But where is that bank account and who maintains it ? If there is no reincarnation, then what is Moksha ? If there is reincarnation, then how does it happen ? thank you, Shailendra Send holiday email and support a worthy cause. Do good.
