Can someone please answer this question? Namaste, It is one of the most highly esteemed texts among the traditional advaitins. Sw. Vidyaranya quotes from it extensively in his book Jivan-Mukti-Viveka; and Ramana Maharshi recommended it to many besides referring to it in his answers to questions from his visitors. Namaste, Yes, that would be a correct inference. If any discrepancy is found between a smriti and the shruti, the latter is held as the superior shastra.
