Dear Friends:

 

Lord works in Mysterious Ways !!

 

This is the story of a very close friend who visited Colombo every

year without fail for past 25 years. Ever since learning about the

disaster I have been trying to contact him without any success.

 

Finally the good news, he returned safely to States this evening.

After talking to him I decided to share his story with my cyber-

friends.

 

My friend was in Colombo and stayed in a beach front hotel that may

of us have seen on TV. He had a confirmed reservation until 24th

December and he enjoyed his stay with his family. They wanted to

extend their stay for a couple of days more so my friend went to the

front desk and appealed if there is any way he could be accommodated?

 

Manager told him that there is absolutely no chance for that because

all the rooms are sold-out for "The Foreigners" only. He showed the

manager his US passport but that did not carry sufficient clout

either. So disappointed he along with his family moved back to his

house located in the city center about 20 minutes drive.

 

Next day the disaster struck and the hotel he stayed in was totally

wiped out.

 

Finally my friend said that he was saved only because the hotel

manager did not consider and/or classify my friend as a "FOREIGNER".

by comparing it to the droplets of water on lotus leaves –

That is why I started off saying that LORD works in mysterious ways.

 

My heart felt prayers for all the survivors who lost their loved ones

to this disaster and wish for the shaanti of the departed souls.
