Guest guest
Hi group: Understanding is not enough? This trying to get the "Direct Realization"is much like trying to get water from a mirage, once it is seen as impossible the effort will stop by itself. For some seekers this statement of intellectual vs direct understanding seems to be a truth like a rock, but why make a difference between intellectual and living understanding?Let do a little experiment,Just sit with eyes closed and watch the thoughts arise.just watch them... appear, stay, then disappear .... on The seeing. This SEEING , this ordinary everyday awareness is IT. IT is nothing new. It doesn't matter what the thoughts are (I understand it but I'm not living it ect...etc...), you are The SEEING of those thoughts. It's common to make this distinction, but it is really not as relevant as it is made out to be. What would be the difference between these two aparent modes of understanding? Probably it is anticipated that the shift from intellectual to true understanding will cause some change in one's experiencing of daily life. As long as that position is taken there is no recognition of the ever present apperception, whether labeled intellectual or other wise. What you look for is what you always already are and it can not be brought into experience as it is the experiencing itself. It is the intuitive recognition that you are the unseen seeing. And when you try to make the shift from intellectual to a alleged true understanding, it means that there is no recognition of the ever present.Relaxation of this effort follows when it is clear (whether one calls it intellectually or not that this effort an exercise in futility. All effort is a product of misunderstanding. The seeing cannot be an object to Itself. You seems to still looking for something different, maybe a special event to happens and it's not happening, an then there is a belief, that you are not living it or that you are missing a "direct realization of it". But relax, there is nothing different that will happen, this Ordinary Everyday Awareness IS IT. Atagrasin
Guest guest
Namaste, sounds relax viewpoint..... i wish i could sit with "eyes closed now and watch the thoughts arise.................." ....but then i need to think about my work that i have to do..... i have no choice ....there is the work which will be done by the power of God.....there will be many different tasks to fulfill.....lots of forms and minds to work with......included my own ....the forms and minds are different to each?....yes and no if i'm Aware of the Real.....there is no difference.....means, there is God and the power of Maya working....just like everyday.... if i'm not Aware of the Real.....there is me and you and everybody ....percieved as different forms ...seperated to each....by the ego mind.....by my own ego mind......(there is never any other ego existing....in whole of my existence...except mine....means, as non-realised Self) we have the choice to be Aware of the Real...or of the Unreal.... no "transformation" needed to realise the whole Self? i think it take time to accept that all our own Being is not different than any other Being......that there is only One Being..... ....during this time......we can discuss about many things...and accept and learn many things..... up to us... there is nobody else ....the thoughts we are watching don't belong to us? to whoever they belong.....they are There....like everybody else..... why things are There?....because we Are wish a good day Regards and Love Marc advaitin, "atagrasin" <k1c2@h...> wrote: > > Hi group: > Understanding is not enough? Just trust in the Self. Do not worry about what will happen to your work when you are not thinking. When you are established in the thoughtless state, the body will move when it is required to move and the thoughts that are needed to perform your work will arise in your mind when necessary. You are not required to do anything only to remain as "Awareness". "everything else will be added onto you" Best wishes Christiane • Terms of > Service. > > Monsoonhouse Int. Guest guest
Namaste Christiane, ....don't worry....there is nothing "required" to anybody... everybody is free to choose the path of Self-realisation one day....or not....... and so...to "stay in Awareness" is free choice....it just happen....or not Awareness .....is silence.... in silence there is nothing what "will be added to .."....but there is just Being.... ....the task of life is Self-realisation...... God know that already everybody is "Self-realised"....and so don't expect anything....... there could be something non-realised in God-consciousness? God is sometimes non-realised? i believe not......maybe we aren't when we are not in silence.... wish to enjoy God .......yourSelf....... intensiv talk this days...i should remember mySelf....in silence....
