Guest guest
Nasmste: kapilamuni was son of kardama and devahuti as correctely stated by Sunder-Ji. He lived on the shores of bindu-sarovara (lake) (bhaaagavata 3.25.5). Here he taught saMkhya concepts to his mother devahuti. He is regarded as the 5th incarnate of vishnu in svayaMbhuva manva.ntara. At the beginning of each kalpa kapila is supposed to take a birth who possesses all the siddhii's and the knowledge. That may be the reason why he is regarded a aadividvaana and mentioned in the giitaa "siddhaa.nnaa kapilo muni (giitaa 10.26)" kapilamuni is also referenced in shvetaashvatara uapaniShda - R^iShiM prasutaM kapilaM yastamagre | j~naanairbibhartai jaayamaanaM ca pashyet || shvetaa. upa. 5.2 || Meaning - When kapilamunai was born in the beginning. He saw he was being born. Hope this is helpful !
