Guest guest
Namaste all While the discussions on 'Samadhi' and 'advaita' initiated by Bhaskar Prabhuji are certainly interesting,, we think now the stage has come to give a break to the discussion as the heat of the discussion is crossing a threshold temperature, as is evident by the occurrences of uncomplimentary references to individual persons, particularly Gurus and Swamis who are held in respect by their devotees and disciples. I suggest that as the new topic for April is about to be started we close this topic right where it is, since already enough has been said. So no more mails on this thread, for some time. Thank you all, Bhaskar, Sunder Rajan, Kathiresan and others who contributed to the discussion. Closely following these discussions on the usage of the concept as well as of the word 'samAdhi' in Shankara's exposition of advaita, we shall look forward to the April discussion on 'Gita in Daily Life' to be led Shri Raghava Kaluri. May I take this opportunity of inviting further volunteers to carry on the torch of useful discussions on our list, in the succeeding months of May and onwards? The system of monthly topics has turned out to be very effective on our list and I would earnestly appeal to all members to help carry on this tradition. 'Gita in Daily Life' as the April topic, will naturally interest a larger audience and involve a wider participation. Let more members participate. Particularly beginner-members need to overcome a natural habit of shyness and come out from their silence, with their questions, doubts and their own explanations -- of course, disciplining themselves not to stray too far from the topic of the month. 'Gita in daily life', because of the very nature of the topic, would give them an opportunity to open up. I wish all of us an active purposeful month of activity in April, as ever before.
