Guest guest
Namaste The chapters 2, 3 amd 4 (and also parts of Chs. 5 & 18) of the Gita detail a blueprint for all action in our daily life. This part of the Gita goes by the well-known name of Karma-yoga. Key concepts here are ‘detachment’ , ‘dedication’ and ‘yajna’. Any amount of explanations given would still be only an understatement of what Krishna himself declares in His own powerful words. Here is one such explanation, in fact an overview, under the title ‘The yajna methodology for detachment’. It is available as a continuous account in 13 pages on the web at the following URL: www.geocities.com/profvk/gohitvip/24.html and succeeding pages, that are titled: Detachment does not necessarily mean asceticism: www.geocities.com/profvk/gohitvip/24page2.html What is karma yoga? : page 3 What is yajna? : page 4 Do duties in the spirit of yajna: page 5 How does a student follow the Gita way of dedication? : page 6 Dedication of one’s actions – Yajna methodology: page 7 Recipe for being an ideal doer: page 8 Yajna attitude as taught to Arjuna : page 9 Yajna methodology – Scientific rationale : page 10 Action and non-action in the philosophy of the Gita : page 11 Karma yogi and Sthita-prajna : page 12 Doing duty for its own sake – punchline of karma yoga : page 13 PraNAms to all advaitins profvk Prof. V.
