Two recommendations: An article and a book !

Now and then it is worthwhile to stray into another world.

 

1. I bumped into a book in the Mathematics Section of

Barnes and Noble:

The Calculus gallery: (Masterpieces from Newton to

Lebesgue) William Dunham.

[The comment at the back of the book attracted me. Students

of literature and arts and music read the originals of

Shakespeare, Leonardo da Vinci and Bach or Mozart; but

Students of Mathematics never read any of the classic

masterpieces of previous centuries. Well, I spent an hour

with the book right at the Bookstore. After coming home I

located the corresponding URL about the book:

2. I bumped into the article:

I was not aware of this article earlier. It is an amazingly

organised research article which will open the eyes of many

about their ideas of ancient Hindu civilisation and the

so-called Aryan invasion theory in Indian history.
