Firstly, 3:33 on 'while even a wise man acting to his nature, what can restraint do'. Taking the analogy of a moving train entering a railway station in a village, where there are just about 2 tracks and one standby track for a few hundered metres. A high speed long distance train is approaching the small station and has strayed into the standby track. A little boy blissfully playing on the tracks notices that something is wrong. Although he(jIva) cannot restrain the high-momentum train(Prakriti) on his own, he signals for the intervention of the station-master (Divine-Will) and the station-master immediately corrects the situation by diverting the train(prakriti) to the correct tracks (Divine-will) and a major accident was averted, to the joy of all. Here, we have not restrained prakriti. We cannot. Only that, we have diverted it to the Divine-Will. Further, while discussing about prakriti, about a person acting as per his nature, it will be interesting to dissect into the depths of what is called the nature comprising of the 3 guNAs. While attraction and aversion guide it normally 3:34, it is comprised of a store-house of 3 guNAs. When dissected futher for their origin, we will end up with Ch-2:62 dhyatO..., whereby, one's thoughts govern the formation of the 3 guNAs. Hence, it all again boils down to 2:62 and asking for Divine intervention to convert/purify the thoughts to the Divine-way. Lord Krishna says, no effort is lost in this way. We will get to 3:35 by end of this week.
