Guest guest
Namaste All I feel awkward asking this, but let me get it off my chest anyways. As in many other things, One questions he timing of Brahma Muhurtam for someone like me living in the UK or for that matter elsewhere in the world. In India, it is straight forward- Around 3.00am IST, all that Smt. Gayathriji describes happen - most souls are fast asleep, peace prevails, ,materialistic thoughts have not yet started etc. Further, I believe it is said that the siddhas in himalayas will also be in deep meditation at 3.00am- IST- and that we could be tapping into a higher level of spiritual experience. At a concept level, I can understand that whereever we are, around 3.00am local time would be ideal. However, speaking technically how does one reconcile Brhamamuhurtam or for that matter other time-defined events like Raahu Kalam etc? MAny namaskarams to all Sridhar advaitin, Gayathry <agayathry> wrote: > > time has its own invisible effect on the spiritual effort. Sattvam is prominent in the early morning. Rajas is prominent in the day time. Tamas is prominent in the night. Therefore early morning is the divine time called as Brahma Muhurtham. > > > > >
Guest guest
dear bandhu, brahmmahuratam aprt from being dependent on external factors depends a lot on internal factors.so much so that internal factors contribute the most, thus wen we say that in the morning our minds are "fresh" it means.as you very truly said that the materialistic thoughts have not entered our brains ,thus for every practical purpose we have to take the local time 3am,also remember that earlier our country used to extend all over the world and they had no time zones ,so they all followed the local time..... In the service of the self Kaivalya
