Guest guest
Hi All, I have finally completed a set of 'teacher lineage' charts at my website. In particular, I have just added a preliminary chart for Shankara and I would ask the assistance of members to help me improve on this. The chart is at http://www.advaita.org.uk/teachers/shankara_sampradaya.htm . Could knowledgeable readers please email me with additions and corrections. Any additions or corrections to any of the other charts would also be gratefully received. (Full list at http://www.advaita.org.uk/teachers/lineages.htm ) Best wishes, Dennis
Guest guest
Dear Dennis, There is some information on the lineage at Sringeri at this site: http://www.tattvaloka.com/guru.htm For the complete guru parampara , go to website for Sri Sringeri, Sarada Peetham, which is still under construction yet which has a complete list of the unbroken line of succession of the 36 Shankaracharyas from Adi Shankara to HH Bharati Tirtha: http://www.sringeri.org/guru-par.htm (Sorry, I am unable to include an active link to the website.) Good luck with the other three seats. Please let us know when a complete chart for each is finished. Best wishes, Kenneth Larsen
Guest guest
Thanks for the links Kenneth. I've been unable so far to find any information for Puri, Dwaraka or Jyotirmath. I wasn't intending to show the complete lineages incidentally (which would occupy a lot of space and not be of interest to most people). Just include a few key teachers and the current Shankaracharyas. Apologies for delay in response but I am lagging way behind in reading the digests! Best wishes, Dennis << For the complete guru parampara , go to website for Sri Sringeri, Sarada Peetham, which is still under construction yet which has a complete list of the unbroken line of succession of the 36 Shankaracharyas from Adi Shankara to HH Bharati Tirtha: http://www.sringeri.org/guru-par.htm (Sorry, I am unable to include an active link to the website.)
