Namaskar,

Here is the traslation of the Chapter 8 of "Amritanubhava" written by great

saint

Janeshwara. The saint denies (Khandan) of the existence of Jnan, and states that

it exists relatively.

1) My Guru has put to me in such a condition that my experience tells me that

there is no "Jnan" that exists relatively with "Ajnan".

2) When I wanted to see myself, I felt ashamed to describe. What can I do?

3) I can not accomodate myself in me, such is the pleasure given by my Guru.

4) Here it will be not tolerated if I say this is "Atmatatwa", this is not

related to

"SwaSamVedhya-Twa", nor I can say that "Kaiwalya" makes any "Bheda"

(dualism)..

5) No words are created to explain my conditon, there is no eyesight that could

see my "Swaroop".

6) Who can make my "Swaroop" a subject of study, even I can not see my own

Swaroop.

7) There is no possibility of "Vyakta" or "Avyakta". Do not think this to be a

wonder,

because I can not explain my condition in "Atmarupa"

8) How the words can describle my condition.

9) How "Ajnan" can come in front of this condition; how the dead Maya could be

revived.

10) Where Ajnana do not exist, how Jnan can enter there ?

11) Lights are switched on, only in darkness. In sun light there is not

darkness,

nor lights.

12) Ajnan has gone and gone is the Jnan also, which was relative.

13) Think, this Jnan and Ajnan are only words and the difference is our

imagination.

14) -----

15) How a torch of light will be able to see darkness ?

16) We call Ajnan because we do not know Brahma. In fact how this could be

called Ajnan, we understand Jnan from Ajnan state.

17) So Jnan came to meet Ajnan, but both vanished.

18) Now see, he who knows does not know, and who does not know, he knows.

Where the Jnan and Ajnan should go.

19) There is (Chitsurya) the sunrise in "Chidakash" now taking all Jnan and

Ajnan in its own body,

(I am Jnaneshwara, in that state).

Yours

Anil
