Guest guest
Welcome to the Group, Akshay Chawla-ji, I am publishing your note below so that other members may note your desire to find a guru. My best wishes. profvk ----------------------- Dear Sir, As you shall be seeing that i have already joined this advaitin group. By 'initiation' i meant going to mutt and taking 'diksha' from a Guru. As i have stuidied the philosophies of the 6 major vedantic school and two things common that i have found are - importance of the human birth ; and importance of a Guru. Hence, intend to take the advaita vedanta seriously and follow each and every word of Sri Adi Sankar. In doing so i need a Guru/teacher and if you have contacts with the 5 mutts of Sri Sankara then kindly inform me.There are many other advaita schools too(like chinmaya and Ramakrsna math) but i want to be devoted to Acharya Shankar so i am not associating with them. thanks for reading.... ~akshay
Guest guest
My friend, you have to discover by yourself who is your guru. That you can do when you open yourself to knowledge without eliminating but accepting with rational mind. Devotion to Acharya Shankara is not accpeting some mutta or mission but accepting the truths expounded by Shankara. Serarch for Guru is search for yourself. You open your mind when you open your mind to satsangh. When the time is right you will discover yourself your guru. Welcome to advaita satsangh. All the best in your search. Hari OM!
