Guest guest
Namaste "jiveshvara-prakRRiti-rUpa-trayaM brahma" I find this in one of my early notes, and I have attributed it to Shankara in my notes. Both the quote as well as the attribution to Shankara is puzzling. Can some one help? Sundar-ji, here is some homework for you! PraNAms to all advaitins. profvk Prof. V. Namaste, The exact phrase could not be traced, but the following excerpt refers to it: http://laluni.helloyou.ws/askbaba/discourses/d1974/d19740600-18.html ".....Sankara established and expounded that whatever we see around us in the world is simply a manifestation of Iswara. He has been proclaiming that whether in the aspect of the Jiva or in the aspect of the Lord or in the aspect of material creation, everything is one and the same and there is no second. In all the three aspects, Jiva, Iswara and Prakriti and all the things that we see around us, what is present is the Paramatma and appearances are an illusion................" Shankara's Gita Bhashya on verses in Chapters 7, 9, and 13, where the words jiiva, prakRRiti, or Ishvara, occur, the purport is similar. Hope the submission of this home-work assignment helps!
