Your title just read " ... to know ...". It is better to have a title which conveys some subject information so that tracking and retrieving becomes easy for those who want to search past postings. Incidentally, another thread was given the title "str" by the member who started the thread. But such monosyllabic codified titles are not helpful when we do want to make a search. Let me come back to your question on books. Please go to advaitin home page and click "files" on the left hand side. You will find a good number of advaita writings all organised and classified, with many of them in pdf format. You may choose your pick. They are all good, but cater to different needs and different levels. If you are interested in a hard copy book totally devoted to advaita, here is an excellent book, which I like: M.K. Venkatrama Iyer : Advaita Vedanta. Asia Publishing House. Bomb ay 1964. I think it is available at amazon.com. PraNAms to all advaitins. profvk

Is there a better way to search for this book? Please advise? Thanks & regards Partha List Moderator's Note: This book is out of print and the used book is quite expensive in USA: One of the best place for searching for books in USA is: http://www.bookfinder.com/ Author is IYER, M. K. Venkatarama Title is Advaita Vedanta According to Samkara Publisher: Asia Publishing House, New York and also Bombay. You should try to get it in India from a used book store.
