Guest guest
I would like to remind Sri Ramana's devotees that ~ we have a website. - For our Ramana stories. - For free Ramana translations from any language into our friends' and family members' mother tongue who cannot understand us or who do not understand what we are reading or why are we spending so much time on the Internet. I think we should not let these things be a barrier between us and our close friends and family as it happens in many cases when one is drawn to the teaching of Ramana Maharshi and others around us don't know what all this is about. - For informing of all Ramana activities around the world. - And for whatever new idea happens to come. Any information, story, article, translation or whatever it is, you can send it to: online_magazine I made a rule of building this site from scratch and not copying other sites around, so I shall upload only what people will wish to send ( besides documenting the Ramana books with more data and excerpts.) website address: www.ramanamaharshi.info ~ And also three e-groups dedicated to Sri Ramana, his life, his teachings and his devotees: MillionPaths/ NamoRamana/

Here is an interesting statement for your contemplation: Ramana is static Shankara and Shankara is dynamic Ramana! Namaste, The printed book has this verse: Introduction by P. Sankaranarayanan p. xiv aj~nAnAntargahanapatitAn AtmavidyopadeshaiH trAtuM lokAn bhavadavashikhAtApapApachyamAnAn.h | muktvA maunaM vaTaviTapino mUlato niShpatantI shaMbhormUrtishcharati bhuvane sha~NkarAchAryarUpA || "If Shiva, whom we adore as Dakshinamurti, is the eternal Teacher of all the worlds, seated in supreme silence under the ageless banyan tree, Shri Shankara is the dynamic edition of that static splendor, who walked abroad delighting in the sustenance of his 'vAdabhikShA' , speaking words of Vedantic widom, to rescue erring mortals from the tormenting fires of life in this vale of tears. The eternal Shambhu became the historical Shankara." Guest guest
I apologize for the delay in replying. I liked very much your statement the very instant I read it. Yet I think that both Ramana and Shankara are both static and dynamic, and surely to many of Ramana's devotees both his static and dynamic nature have been made themselves known. viorica > Namaste, Viorica-ji, > > Congratulations. > > Here is an interesting statement for your contemplation: > > Ramana is static Shankara and > Shankara is dynamic Ramana! > > PraNAms to all advaitins. > profvk
Guest guest
Namaste: Taking the hint provided by Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2,Verses 55 to 72, I want to describe both Sankara and Ramana as "Stable Minded Perfect Yogis." All attributes such as 'static,' or 'dynamic' get dissolved when the mind becomes stable! Also when the mind becomes stable, the mind also get dissolved with the Atman! regards, Ram Chandran advaitin, "viorica weissman" <viorica_weissman> wrote: > that both Ramana and Shankara are > both static and dynamic,
