Guest guest
Dear Venkat, Thanks so much for your detailed answer to my question on the definition of Nithidhyasana ... and thanks also to the others who replied! I would, however, like to alert others to a problem with the Yogamalika site shown below. I use Netscape, and if others do, you will find that the many topics/links on the left side of the pages don't seem to work in some versions of Netscape--you must go to the "sitemap" shown at the top of the webpage in order to access the topics. Switching to Internet Explorer solves the problem. I alerted the webmaster. Part of the site is "under construction," and I'm not referring to that aspect of the site. Hope this helps others, Bob Freedman S Venkatraman wrote: > I would also recommend that you listen to Swami Paramathananda's Gita > lectures on www.yogamalika.org. Guest guest
Dear Bob, It is not surprising that Yogamalika was not compatible with Netscape. So complete is the dominance of Bill Gates' programme that I don't think anybody today uses Netscape in India. The only programme that I know of which has withstood the onslaught of Microsoft is Intuit's Quicken. Coming back to our subject of Nidhidhyasana, I would also refer you to Professor Krishnamurthy's excellent 2 part mail on 'Report on Gita satsangh' which he posted on 28th June. (Messages 27109 and 27110 on the Advaitin website). I read them only now and find that they deal precisely with your question of meditation, contemplation and Nithidhyasana. Regards, Venkat Bob Freedman <rlfreed wrote: I would, however, like to alert others to a problem with the Yogamalika site shown below.
