Guest guest
Pranams to all: The second karika of Gaudapadaacharya, for the sixth mantra of the Great Upanishad, Maandukhya Upanishad, reads as " Vishwa works from the Right Eye, Tiajasa from the Mind and Praajna from the heart spce. The word used is " Dakshinaakshi". Some Commentrators say that even according to opthlamologists right eye is used more, in waking consciousness. Another commentrator says the the right eye functions through the optical center located in the left brain. The optical center of the right brain recieved information through the left eye. Why nature has provided two eyes? With only one eye theother dimension of "depth" would be lost. Close one eye and try to join forefingers of both the hands. There will be a failure by centimetres. Now Take "Dakshinaamurthy". The Amurtha-unmanifest takes roopa, as Moorthy, and sits facing South, the Aadhi Guru and teaches for the first time Advaitha Jnana to the four Maanasa Puhtras of Lord Brahma through silemce. the disciples are old but the Guru is very young and sits facing South at the roots of a Banyan Tree. So is the Purana. Analysing the etymology of Dashina, it follows, that it is made of Daksha and Ina. It indicates the root meaning as Daksha-samartha- able and commander. So the intutive meaning of Right Eye is that it is not a Wrong Eye.( Right-Left: Right and Wrong). The most able eye is therefore the third eye, the Aajna Chakra. This should be the possible explanation not what Bhasyas say. I do not how much I am welcome. In the waking conciousness on the who;le, called as Vishwa, bot the eyes do function and the Brain correlates it, and therefore it could only mean Aaajna Chakra.Taijasa being the dream state has to work only in the mind. The last Praajna, deep sleep is where consciousness takes rest in the Heart. But the heart sppoken there is not the 4 walled muscular heart. It speaks of Hrith+ Ayam= This space-the Self.
