Guest guest
Dear Sir, Compare the varying degrees of sleep one gets. Disturbed sleep is rembered after waking and inpspite of the fact that deepsleeep cannot be remebered, there is the statement that sleep got disturbed. However if either after being tired, or after a good swaur meal, one sleeps like a log for six hours, and slowly gets up, not suddenly, at that split second every being is inthe Self. Memory operates and waking consciousness starts and the daily activities begin. This is something akin to it. The pleasantnes is without words, showing that very few cells being active in the Brain for the purposes of bodily activities and actions of the various organs perhaps retains the memory of the bliss of the sleep. The very split second when man goes off to sleep with a jerk and while getting up, are those moments which are indescribable but some how retained. I have discussed this matter with Brain Surgeons and Clinical Psychologists. Little digression-the aged professor, was agahst to come to know that the three states of waking dreaming and deep sleep are for the mind and not for the body.Body sleeping means death. Take another example drinking water soon after a grub, is different from drinking water when thirsty. The quenching of thirst cannot be explained however much one may try todo? Likewise, taste of coffee, or tea can be explained to those who consume it. But what plesantness it causes can never be explained. All rasAswadha is of the nature of a Satori only-cannot be explained. That is why it is said the Supreme Self cannot be seen either optically or in the mind, becasue it is at it's back. To see the Self, is to be the Self. There is no seeing therein, but only Being. I do request you to make enquiries, and to the best of my knowledge let me relate it. In my profession I have come across these personages. Next time be personal. I hope I have been sucesful. If I have failed please do intimate me. Guest guest
When I was in a non-dual state, "I" was "there" all the time. I saw the body going to sleep, the dreams, and even the body when there is no dreams, there are sensations, but there is no memory about them. Somehow, normal, everyday consciousness is like being sleeping. Now it seems so distant, that was 11 years ago. But I still have the sensation that "I" was awake 24 hours a day. So many years "outside" the non-dual experience make me doubt. Oh well. In "there"? nothing. Remember that I only can talk about "there" from here, from this current "ego-world state" All that it was "there2 was "THAT", permanently, the body could go to sleep or being awake, "THAT" was always present. Thats the best way I can put it in words. _________ Thinking is what a great many people think they are doing when they are simply rearranging their prejudices -William James
