Guest guest
Namaskaarams! Can any of the members of this group provide me with info. on the following: 1. What are the sequences of performing a Homam? 2. Whether Ganapathi Homam has to be followed by Navagraha Homam always? 3. What do we do for Poornaahuthi? 4. Is there any website or online resource available for learning more about performing Homams? 5. Are there any non-commercial Homam audios available? Guest guest
Namaste: The questions that you have raised require an authority on Homa Vidhis to answer. I have provided some useful references and please follow it up to get all the answers that you are looking for. Cautionary Note: Those who want to conduct `homam – Vedic Yajnas ` should conduct learnt Vedic Pandits if they are really serious. Vedic rituals can't be (shouldn't) be conducted half-hearted fashion using amateurish materials and performers. The information provided below may help you to find what you are looking for. Please remember the cautionary note that I have provided before you venture anything on your own. Homa Vidhanam – A Tamil Publication, Author: Anna, published by and available at Ramakrishna Matt, Chennai, India. (http://www.sriramakrishnamath.org/books/elist.asp?ProductType=MB08) Books such as Homa Vidhanam , Puja Vidhanam, Japa Vidhanam provide the details about the sequence of the rituals, the Vedic requirements and necessary ingredients and equipments to conduct them. Check at the following site and contact the Sri Srinivasan with your request; http://www.ahobilam.com/ Some relevant information about Poomaahuthi is available at the following sites: http://www.sssbpt.info/ssspeaks/volume08/sss08- 41.pdf#search='Poornaahuthi' http://www.sathyasai.org/search/volume02/sss02- 46.pdf#search='Poornaahuthi' The following is another useful reference site with information on conducting Vedic Yajnas. http://yagna.by-choice.com/yagnas.htm Also see the following Sathya Sai website for additional information: http://www.sathyasai.org/discour/sathyasaispeaks/sathyasaispeaks.html Warmest regards, Ram Chandran advaitin, "homaprakaranam" <homaprakaranam> wrote: > Namaskaarams! > > Can any of the members of this group provide me with > info. on the following: > > 1.
