Guest guest
Anger is a reaction – Seek help. A person does not get depressed by choice. It just happens. There is no pint in advising someone not to get depressed. When we adv9se someone not to get angry, he or she gets more angry because, it is not that a person wants to be angry. Anger happens. It takes a lot of courage to accept helplessness. Unless I have the courage to accept helplessness, I can never grow out of it. I will not seek help even if it is available. I seek help from the source, which can help: which should be free from the limitations I have. That source is Iswara, God. What or Who is God? This world is an intelligent assembly serving a definite purpose and therefore it is a creation. The maker of a given thing must have the knowledge of that thing. The creator of everything must be sarvagna, i.e. omniscient. Since heaved is also a part of the creation, heaven could not have been therefore the creation. So where was God before the creation of heaven? Dream is even a better model to explain the creation of the world where the Lord is both the Maker and the Material., In dream you create a world merely by sankalpa, by thought. You think of an object, that object is. If space is a part of creation, space cannot be separate from its material cause. The lord is the material cause for this universe. So what is space? Space is the Lord. Time is also the Lord. Air, water, fire, earth, all these are the Lord. The sun, the moon, the planets, the stars, all of these is the Lord. Your physical body, which is made up of the five elements, is again the Lord. The breath is the Lord is the Lord, the sense organs are the Lord, the mind is the Lord, and the consciousness behind them all is also the Lord. God is to be understood and not believed in, Isvara is not a matter for belief. Isvara is to be understood. You do not require only a particular altar to invoke the Lord. Yu can invoke him anywhere because what is that which is not the Lord? The whole order is the Lord, all the laws are the Lord. The Lord is called “He” from the standpoint of the maker and called “She” from the standpoint of the material. In fact, we use “He” and “She” interchangeably and use “It” to indicate the truth of them both. If God is different from you, He does not include you, which means that God is mighty but not Almighty. There is only God and so if someone invokes Him as Rama or Krishna, that is fine, if someone invokes Him as Allah, that is fine and if someone invokes him as Jesus, that is also fine. Only when God is understood does this fact become obvious. If some cannot accept the fact of the people invoking God in different names and forms, it is their problem. We have no problems because we do not have many Gods, we do not even have one God, we have only God. Action and their Results Nobody can perform action without expecting results. Even a fool will not undertake something without a certain end in mind. Lord Krishna makes a statement of fact: You have a choice with respect to performing an action but not with reference to its result. This is not advice, it is a fact. Only four types of results are possible: The result is in keeping with your expectation, You get more than what you expected You get less than what you expected You get just the opposite of your expectation. Should you not be prepared for any one of these four results? You better be! It is immature not to be prepared for them. Can there be sameness in the result? When actins are different, the results are going to be different. Then where can there by samatwam? It can only be with reference to our attitude towards the results of an action. Isvara is the karmaphala-hetu, cause for result of an action, whilst you are the karma-hetu, cause for action, the result that an action produces, whether it is more or less, equal or opposite, the result comes from Isvara. It is prasada because it comes from the Lord. It is wrong to think that one becomes submissive by accepting the situation as prasada. In fact you will become dynamic and be able to accept the result as it is and proceed. There is sameness of mind with respect to the results of action because it is prasada from the Lord. Failure can only be there when success is in your hands, when you call all the shots. When that is not the case, there is no failure. No one is a failure. Everyone is learning. We learn from experiences and so there is no regard. Learning from experience is the mature way of responding to the unfolding facts of life. While a yogi can be skilful, a skilful person is not necessarily a yogi. If so, a skilful thief or pickpocket would be a yogi. for Good Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
