Guest guest
OM TAT SAT Dear esteemed members, I have read so much about the Brahmsutra bhashya on this list that I am tempted to read it. I do not have access to any guru but will try to go through it on my own. It is my opinion that the original meaning of Sanskrit verses tends to get lost or seems inaccurate in its English translation. I don't know Sanskrit but I am saying it based on the comparison between Hindi translation and English translation of the same verse. Any suggestions about which Brahmsutra bhashya book to read ? Sri Naik had suggested the English translation by Swami Gambhirananda of Advaita Ashram. Any other suggestions - Hindi/English ? thanks and regards, OM TAT SAT Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005
Guest guest
I have found brahma-sutra-bhashya samgraha at advaita-L quite useful. Though he has compiled it according to subject titles and thus some of the flavour of the original work might have lost. It is available at advaita-vedanta.org/sharada praNAm
