Namaste Neelakantanji & Madathilji,

I can go one better than this. I have read the alphabet so I have

essentially covered all the literature that uses the roman alphabet. I

have sounded all the notes on the piano, including the black ones so I

have essentially heard all that music can offer.

Best Wishes,

Michael.

Namaste Nairji!

For me the 5-element model comes alive everyday, e.g. space, air,

water, earth and fire (of the sun) come together to form the

vegetables and fruits through the fundamental process of

photosynthesis. I know that biology has a detailed version of this,

and the details may explain how a tomato is different from a

cucumber, but, in essence, they are both the same - a combination of

the five basic elements. And so is everything else. Our quest as

advaitins, takes us to the source of even these five elements.

Science deals with the variations, while sruti tells us that the

underlying principle is one only, without a second.

Namste Neelakanthan-Ji:

That is why Veda declared "ekam Sst, vipra bahudha vadanti" and

continue to the assimilate the future by remaing open minded by

making the statement - "aa no bhadraaH kratvo"

Our ancestors were probably concentrating on the common thread that

unites rather than concentrating on just the end product. May be

that is why aacharya suggested - "brahma satya jagan mithyaa".

The process for that creation that specific item is "universally-

ONE" (advita) which always remains true, however, the end product

that got manifested through that process is "not true" becauae it

is "naashivanta" (subject to change). Thus not to get attached to

the end product but remain faithful to the fundamental principles of

the bR^ihattva. (bR^ihatma te mahattam)

Thank you,

hariH Om tat sat
