Guest guest
respected scholars, i am fully aware that my views are not in conformity with the topics on discussion. my only objective was to inject this note of caution that the land of the bharatas is under seige... and that we have almost reached the end -game....and we are almost certain to lose out to conversion thro trillions of dollars and petro dollars being pumped into india for conversions....,-----when there occured a peep-hole in the discussions. am truly sorry to have brought up the issue. i would, however, like to close my observations with this one last observation: our civilisation is unique in world history where there have been no holocasts, exterminations, ethnic cleansing, colonisations, etc. differentiations exist everywhere in nature.... amongst materials [ gold--copper---lead- ], amongst the organic world [ cornivorous-herbivorous--- ]..... when krishna says " chaatur varniyam mayaa srishtam", he does not mean the differentiation amongst humans alone.... he means differentiations in the entire universe.... the sahasra sheersha-purusha of purusha sooktam does not mean 1000 brahmin faces... sahasra here is " infinite"..... every living being under creation is included in the sahasra sheershas.... gradations and graduations amongst them, however, are a fact of nature.... our rishis created chaturvarniyam to ensure that every human being will begin life with a skill in hand so that he is never dependent. IT IS A MATTER OF UTTER DISGRACE AND SHAME that we allowed it to degenerate as a tool to oppress the less fortunate, and ENDED UP with the inhuman practice of untouchability. it must , however, be conceded that india has almost banished this ill without shedding a drop of blood. once again i apologise for the unwarranted intrusion. sincerely yours, a.v.krshnan. --- "K.B.S.
