Dear Bhaktas! (of this month):

My Master Sri Subbaramaiya once mentioned this nice piece:

A certain Visishtadvaitin Scholar read the entire Shivanandalahari of

AdiShankara and was so enamoured by the Bhakti that overflows from that immortal

work that he wrote in a preface to a book on the Shivanandalahari: .... Etena

Sri Shankarabhagavatpadah paramaBhagavataah iti manyaamahe. This means: ...By

this we regard Sri Shankarabhagavatpadah, the author of Shivanandalahari, to be

a Great Devotee who sings the Glory of the Lord.

Such was the effect that Adi Shankara, in whom both Jnana and Bhakti found

supreme consummation.

Members can bring out many soul-stirring verses from AdiShankara's

Soundaryalahari, the Shatpadii stotram, etc.

Namaste

subbu
