Guest guest
Oh! Felipe! you state : (All in all, it seems much easier to convey ideas through words than it is to convey feelings - this is why i feel AdiMa demises herself by regarding herself as a mere "cheerleader", she is one who easily puts out feelings through words.! oh! oh! you did not see this Rose' among the thorns! no, you did not! Remember, the thorns are there to protect the Rose ! SMILE! I AM NOT ONLY A CHEERLEADER ; BUT A GRAT SURVIVOR ! i am not giving up in spite of so many distractions - new , new sub threads emerging - i am still 'focussed' ! but i do admire Yaduji's commentary ..that is helping the discussion a lot! THANX YADUJI - Yes , the desire for 'liberation' (mumukshu) is also not recommended - in Nishkamya bhalkti, the devotee does not ask even for liberation! Of COURSE, WE DONOT WANT TO BE LIKE kUNTI DEVI AND ASK FOR 'KRISHNA' TO GIVE US ONE SORROW AFTER ANOTHER ! you bet, he would ! however, sweet may be the uses of adversity! DEVI IS ICCHA SHAKTI , KRIYA SHAKTI AND JNANA SHAKTI - this whole iniverse is her play - Her kshetra ! AND FELIPE, you are right - people love to argue , debate but guess what Love cuts all arguments short ! That is the beauty of the bhakti marga ! When your mouth is singing the praises of the lord , where is the time to talk about mundane matters? Katha upanishad says nayam atma pravacanena labhyo na medhaya na bahudha srutena yam evaina vaeute tena labhyas tasyaina atma vivaeute tanua svam Here, the sruti says that revelation is required for knowing God and this is his perogative. 'Na medhaya na bahuda srutena', not by means of reasoning and scriptural study, but to he, whom the Lord chooses, is he revealed! Yes ! WE DO NOT CHOOSE ANY PATH CONSCIOUSLY- IT IS THE lORD WHO CHOOSES US and reveals the path suitable for our temperament! Otherwise how could a nice brazilian gentleman join a group on Advaita and share in the collective wisdom of this satsangha ! Adi shankara says in his Sadhana Panchakam to seek the company of Wise men and be stablished in firm devotion to the lord in the second verse ! 'saMgaH satsu vidhIyatAM bhagavato bhaktir dRDhA ' 'dhIyatAM' Hey Felipe! seriously, i wondered about this ! you were so keen to know about Lord Hanuman etc WHICH MAKES ME BELIEVE YOU ARE INCLINED TOWARDS BHAKTI TOO ! what is your take on this subject ? i already feel 'handicapped' with my star supporter Chitta missing from this discussion ! his presence would have certainly 'enlivened' the discussion ! He is articulate and eloquent and as far as 'feelings are concerned ' , he is 100 times better than me in expressing them ! well, he has retreated into a mode of 'silence' , i guess! Rumi says 'In the screaming gale of Love, the intellect is a gnat. How can intellects find space to wander there?' Bhakti Is love !
