Namaste Adiji, You have misunderstood the point I was making. Speed reading doesn't work for my productions. I was deducing what James' attitude to Advaita would be from his stated general principles of meaningfullness and his given examples of meaninglessness. Let me give a further example of what I mean. Marx said religion was the opium of the people. What would be his attitude to Scientology one might wonder. By deduction from his general principle he would hold that it was expensive opium. No buts, no maybes, if there is a general principle and the particular instance falls under it then what applies to the general applies to the particular.
