Guest guest
*** Dear Purusha What is truth? It's of the human nature to ascribe concepts to what in most cases cannot be known in any way. This is what Sri Chittaranjan-ji means when he says that there would be very few real participants in a discussion, even though many would be disagreeing (and i take his words to be mine, with confidence that we understand each other). You have ejected yourself from the discussion the second you said it was pointless. The nature of truth is, TO ME (the only one who could be the knower of truth) exclusively internal. Truth is a conclusion (logical or otherwise) as i have recently stated in my last post "Practical Advaita". The rest sits on the topic of dialectics (as opposed to untruth) and unfruitful concepts. Therefore you can only speak about your own point of view regarding some issue or other. Therefore there can be no exterior truth. Therefore you are being hypocritical when you say "Rishi has substance, Chitta has style". None of them are you, who are you, then, to judge how much truth lies in any? Forward your own vision, do not disregard others'. Agree or disagree, don't step into a discussion (that you were not invited to in the first place) to cut it in half. Help, or do not stand in the way. Your presence has been felt as a negative since your first post, however there is always room for improvement. Seek for truth within yourself by stopping to judge what others are doing or saying. I only stepped in (judging what you as other is saying) because you risk spreading a thick layer of salt in a very productive ground which is this list, and that stands in the way to my own truth. So i politely ask of you again, that you should either help or not stand in the way. Learn to listen before showcasing whatever amount of knowledge you have amassed. Then you say whatever you want. The only one that is worst than a lier is the one who asks someone that is talking to someone other than himself to shut-up. And among these are those who would gladly talk about any subject just to show how much they have learned (as opposed to engaging in mutually enriching dialogue). Guest guest
FASC : (Ref Post number 29704) Your two posts on this thread though belated are still very creative and procreative. A lot of posts will be generated after this one, of that I am sure. I agree with you and CRN there would be very few real particpants in this discussion. This is the Ultimate Truth and you know why? You are fond of quoting a child analogy. First, the child must learn to take baby steps before learning to walk and then run. CRN is right when he takes my labelling his post 'stylish' as a compliment. In every prersentation, style is important. Style can be interpreted to mean many things. Style is also a synonym for passion. If a musician strikes a wrong note while performing , the audience can ignore but if that musician does not perform with passion , it is a lack lustre performance. The discussion is not pointless but can be made more effective if some consensus is reached at least about basic terms such as Adhyasa, Apavada and Adhyaropa. In trying to eliminate Avidya if more Avidya is created, where is the beginning and where is the end? However, I like the 'mutually engazing dialogue' concept better than an 'annoying' monologue. That was the best note you struck in your post and was music to my Ears. Help us all to understand all of this better by following the KISS principle- keep it simple and straight. Did you know that the best cure for Arthritis is an ointment made out of Red Hot Chili Peppers? CRN : be abrasive like a Chilli pepper - that helps more than sugar coated pills. Athato ...... Continue and may be Felipe Crema can lead the discussion and make it the Hot topic of the month. The Siva Sutras say 'the Self is an actor' and therefore let us all play our roles to perfection in this Leela. PS

(if, ever,....the Self....means the witness of all......is acting) but then...."you"....means this "PS".....is no more "acting" anymore.... and in reality, never have been any "actor"....or "whoever" only few thoughts Regards and peace Marc
Guest guest
(Ref Post number 29709) Namaste Purusha-ji You say: "Athato ...... Continue and may be Felipe Crema can lead the discussion and make it the Hot topic of the month." I say maybe not, i am far too ignorant on any such subjects to risk super-imposing my voice over such a large number of much more learned and helpful ones. I would rather just sit back and enjoy, lest i should learn anything. PS: I believe at some point you missed the last "s" in "kiss" within your post, and yes, red hot chili peppers are the best medicine for athritis, but they are not a cure. They just make the area numb and after it wears out it has to be reapplied. Regards
