Dear friends,

In the movie AdiShankaracharya, in the scene where Shankaracharya

first meets hastamalaka, A vedic verse is chanted. This is precisely

at the time when Hastamalaka deiceds to look at the Sun. Does anyone

know the source of this shloka? looking at the caption I liked the

verse verymuch but due to bad audio, I could not get the shloka

completely. Could anybody kindly provide me with the shloka and its

source? Thanks

Namaste,

The mantra is fro Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 2:2:2

http://www.celextel.org/108upanishads/brihadaranyaka.html

II-ii-2: These seven gods that prevent decay worship it: Through

these pink lines in the eye Rudra attends on it; through the water

that is in the eye, Parjanya; through the pupil, the sun; through

the dark portion, fire; through the white portion, Indra; through

the lower eye-lid the earth attends on it; and through the upper eye-

lid, heaven. He who knows it as such never has any decrease of food.
