Could you pl. give me information on the exact chapter of the Vanaparva where this could be found? Has the entire dialogue between Dharma-vyaadha and Koushika been given in the Kannada volumes brought out by (Maha)bharata darshana? Is there any English book containing the whole of the dialogue? A friend wants to make a detailed study of this dharmopadesha. Warm regards subbu Brings words and photos together (easily) with PhotoMail - it's free and works with Mail. Subbu ji; the Bharata Darshana edition of mahA bhArata has a detailed description of the Dharma vyAda episode. It starts in chapter 205 (MArkandEya samasyA parva), towards the end of volume 6 and continues in to volume 7, up to chapter 216. Warm regards, K. Ramakrishna Ref. Is it possible for you discuss for the benefit of the advaitin list members the teaching of Dharmavyaadha in detail? Some of us when we read Mahabharata, we were young and skipped over all the detailed discussions and only paid attention to the story part. Mahabharata is recognized as pancama Veda only because it has many aadhyaatmika discussions that are embedded in the form of dialogues. Yaksha prasna another interesting question-answers type of dialogue. There is another one - python (I forgot the name - NahiSha?) and yudhiShTara discussions. Hari OM! This would be a continuing education for me. It probably will take about 4-5 writings. I will space them probably one a week. As you said, mahAbhAratha has many aadhyaatmika discussions. In addition to the ones you listed, there is the yayAti and Ashtaka Discussions YudhishTira and Nahusha discussions Vidura Neeti (discussion between Dri tharAshtra and Vidura) AshTavakra episode ShAnthi parva has many such discussions. PranAms, K. Ramakrishna.
