Guest guest
Namaste: I suggest that you should seek for scholarship from US sources to study in India. You should contact some international foundations such as the Fulbright or Rockfellor, etc. Getting admissions in Indian universities is much more difficult than getting admission in the US. You can try for admission and scholarship at the Kanchi University, located close to Kanchi Sankara Math. Good Luck! Guest guest
Jyotir Mutt is not a good idea for vedanta study. Moreover, the nearest business institute - Garhwal Institute of Management - is at Dev Prayag, which frankly speaking is not an institute at all. IIT-Roorkee has a business department. The institute itself is very highly ranked but business department has just started. This place is 25 miles from Rishikesh, traditional seat of vedanta in North India. You can get all flavours of vedanta there. However, 25 miles there is not the same as 25 miles in US. You can visit the place on weekends but do not count on commuting. BHU-Varanasi has an average business deptt and an above average department of Hindu philosophy. You can find excellent free-lance vedanta teachers in Varanasi. As a bonus, you can find very good teachers of nyaya and bauddha systems too. Write me off the list, if you need more info. praNAm
