THE COLOUR OF TRUTH

The colour of colour is colourless.

 

The colourless has many colours.

 

Colour and Colourless are not related.

 

For they are not two.

 

When it is this way, it is also that way.

 

Speech does not approach it.

 

It is speech. The Name is It.

 

The journey to Truth is like the emptying

of an ocean, drop by drop, with the help

of a kusa grass.

 

There is no journey to the Self.

It always is everywhere.

 

Magic courses into red blood

and red blood transforms into Light.

 

There is no transformation.

 

Silence breathes

in the hush of Silence.

Kabîr, tumeric is yellow, and lime is white.

You shall meet the Beloved Lord, only when both colors are lost.

 

Kabîr, tumeric has lost its yellow color, and no trace of lime's

whiteness remains.

I am a sacrifice to this love, by which social class and status,

color and ancestry are taken away.

 

Chitta, in this season of vasanta ritu, when we do 'spring'

cleaning , is it not a good idea to throw away all old notions about

color and caste and replace then with fresh new 21st century notions

of Universal Love and harmony.

 

All colors are beautiful in this colorful world created by our master

craftsman.

 

Red is the color of the Blood ( a heart full of red blood is a sufi's

heart) )

 

Green is the color of Earth (fertility and prosperity)

 

Blue is the color of the sky and the ocean ( infinite consciousness)

 

Yellow is the color of the golden sun ( it is auspicious as well as

full of Light)

 

white is the color of the lily (pure )

 

Black is beautiful - all colors merge in black

 

pink is the color of the Lotus ( detatchment and discrimination)

 

and Truth can nver be black or white for there are various shades of

grey in between! Smile !
