bandho, hari OM,

i might be a gate crasher into this discussion, and i haven't read the

previous exchanges. but going by the tone of the below three mails, i would like

to make my humble submission:

1. The parsis who were persecuted in their homeland persia came to India and a

king of Gujarat gave them shelter. this was on condition that they would not eat

beef and not disturb the prevalent social system by marrying hindus (this, in

hindsight, served the purpose of preserving their identity). They have ever

since been very active in the society(contributing positively), and the hindus

never persecuted them.

2. The Jews escaping persecution from their homelands came to India and were

given shelter for bhagavaan knows how many years. they were never persecuted.

3. The syrian christians were the first christian denomination to arrive in

India, they were never persecuted.

why is it that right now we see that the Hindus have become "violent",

"intolerant". This is because we have lost 35 % of our land to a marauding

political ideology in the garb of a religion (islam), and we do not wish to lose

any more. This intolerance is much more heightened when we have christian

missionaries, the self professed "savers of heathens" abuse sanaatana dharma in

the vilest possible terms and whose aim is to wipe out sanaatana dharma, we need

some amount of intolerance to protect ourselves. shaThe shAThyam samaacharet. we

cannot afford to be dhimmies.

personally, i would prefer to preserve my identity by defending my motherland

and be called a "fanatic", "intolerant", "violent" person, than getting myself

killed at the hands of marauding ideologies.

svasti,

JAYA BHAARATII,

shrivathsa.
