I just talked to Shrivastavaji (Guru Sevak ji) in New Delhi. HE HAS GRANTED PERMISSION TO DO WHAT I PROPOSED TO DO. He said Guruji always appreciates such efforts and if we need any help on any matter we can write to Gurudham, New Delhi and he would take care of it. He also said that it is a good idea to help others understand this science better, but whatever we do, we'll have to do it on our own. He also told me that some anti-hinduism/anti-guruji forces might try to put us down. He adviced to proceed with caution. Anyone, who thinks this is a bluff, can contact him and confirm. His number is +91-11-7182248. He said 8th, 13th, 14th, 29th (1:30 in the night) and 30th (11:30am) of April are very good muhurts and we must perform sadhanas on these days. Now, that we've got clearance from Gurudham, we must concentrate on how making this affair a big success rather than debating on whether to do it or not. I would post more very soon... I will coordinate with Jodhpur Gurudham about puttin in these improvements. Please give me comments regarding improvements to this. I am planning to consolidate everyone's views by this weekend, and to submit during the weekend. Currently , my wish list on www.siddhashram.org (areas which need improvement) is - a. Very few photographs of Gurudev b. Need to upload details of all back issues since 1981 c. Better categorisation of Sadhanas on Sadhana page ( how to go about it. what type of categories? gimme ideas I had mentioned some examples in a previous mail) d. Addition of details on Anusthaan and Havan in Sadhana page e. Addition in FAQ about basic questions like following. Requesting Gurudham to add these questions with authentic answers - 1. What should I eat during Sadhana ? 2. What is the ideal time to perform Sadhana ? 3. What is the best time for a Sadhak to get up ? 4. What sud one do if one is unable to follow all rules ? 5. Is Diksha important for Sadhana ? 6. What should a familyman do about celibacy ? 7. Can I speak to Gurudev on phone ? f. Search Engine Improvements. I am not clear about this. Charanjit ji, please tell me what sort of improvement you want in the existing search capability? Please specify your views in detail. g. Speed Improvement. I actually don't feel any problem with loading speed (maybe because I am based outside India). However, people in India might feel the problem on loading speed. Please tell any specific pages wherein u feel that loadingspeed is a critical issue. Currently the site is hosted on a fast server at www.easyspace.com Ashishji, please suggest if speed is indeed a problem, and please suggest ways to improve this condition. Basically, the users of a system can give constructive feedback about various issues. I just want to collect the user feedback and coordinate with Jodhpur Gurudham. Charanjitji, Ashishji is just trying to complement the existing site. It will basically be an extension of the original site, and will be basically a forum for Sadhaks. A new person will travel seamlessly into this from www.siddhashram.org. It will however not be managed by Gurudham. A sort of area containing tips, answers, experiences etc. from Sadhak's perspective. Periodically, data (at least the questions etc.) will be submitted to Gurudham for authentication, and Gurudham may add them to the existing FAQ sections etc. I guess that Ashish's idea is to consolidate the good stuff from this forum together and to remove the junk stuff. Pages take longer to load because they contain a lot of images. Am I correct , Ashishji ? Yes, right. 'Forum' is the right word to discribe my idea. An unusual forum. This site would work as a filter and prevent siddhashram.org from being jam packed with junk.
