Guest guest
Jai Gurudev Dear members Namaste My name is Wong Kai Cheong from Singapore and I am new to this group. I have just received my Guru Diksa (by photograph) and Panchaguli Diksa. First of all, I would like to express my greatest gratitude to Gurudev in granting me diksa. I have been looking for a Guru all these years and at last my wish is fulfilled. I have the following queries which I hope the members can advise me: 1. What should I do with my returned photo? Should I frame it up together with Gurudev's photo and place it on the alter? 2. What is the purpose and significance of the Chetna mantra? 3. I have to send my kids to school at 6.30 am and I starts work at 7.15 am during weekdays. I found that after performing my guru mantra, chetna mantra and gayatri mantra, I do not have enough time to perform my panchaguli sadhana. Could I perform the sadhana at other times say at night? Will it be equally efficient? I don't like to rush through it as this will defeat the purpose and gain nothing from it. Guest guest
--- dear wong, jai GuruDev you are welcome to our parivar, our family. Congratulations on receiving your diksha. May this be a begining of a new life for you. I would request other senior members to answer too. 1. What should I do with my returned photo? Guruji had told me to keep my photo with me in my purse always. I am not sure if framing is correct or equivalent. 2. What is the purpose and significance of the Chetna mantra? The closest translation of chetna is awakening. A mantra usually has many purposes, more than there are obviously evident. However, i can make a humble attempt to translate it for you. This mantra starts with and ends with aum the most auspicious pranav (sacred single word) for hindus. Namah is added is the end-- a mark of devotion, the purpose is tho please the lord and ask for forgiveness. After Aum, an inner engulf for the mantra on both sides is hreem. Hreem is the Beej (seed) mantra for Bhuvaneshwari--the divine mother and one of the 10 mahavidyas who combines the three powers --kali, lakshmi and sarasvati. It is said that by worshipping mother bhuvaneshwari you worship all three forms. the basic mantra mam - my pran - the closest translation is soul. but pran is more that soul. it is the basic power which moves our hands and everything in the world, deh- body rom - pore pratirom - this is a repition which emphasizes that chaitanyam jagraya - every particle every constituent of my soul and body should come to a state of awakening and a higher level of resonance. In essence it aims at taking you closer to the Guru -the divine force and hence makes you capable of achieving spiritual and therefore, material success. 3. I have to send my kids to school at 6.30 am and I starts work at 7.15 > am during weekdays....I don't like to rush through it as this will > defeat the purpose and gain nothing from it. > I fully agree with that. However, I am not an authority to answer that. maybe sending a mail is better and the correct option. Is it possible to wake an hour earlier? If not, maybe you should perform the panchanguli sadhna at the time recommended and perform 1 mala GURU mantra before + after it. And ask Guruji for forgiveness, and perform the usual prayer at a later time. then after your panchanguli sadhna is over shift back the GURU sadhna to the morning. Best wishes, warm regards jai GURUDEV anu > > Regards > Wong Kai Cheong > > Om Tat Sat > > > > ____________________ ___
Guest guest
Dear Wong Jai Gurudev, I guess that u sud keep the returned photo in your worship_place. u may use same photo for taking another Diksha etc. probably it is better to keep this photo in a Mantra Tantra Yantra Vigyan magazine etc. U sud also have received Gurudev's photo along with mantras on it. It will be a good idea to frame it and keep it in the altar/worship place. about Chetna mantra. Anuji as given a very beautiful description on it. i wud only like to add that regular chanting of this mantra energises the body and mind. i heard long ago from some one that a disciple had performed anusthaans of just this mantra to achieve Kundalini activation. Basically this mantra energises the body and soul. moroever, it may also be instrumental in helpong one to maintain concentration and remain active during chanting other mantras. i guess that Jodpur Gurudham must have given u some specific timings for starting the Sadhana. Most of the Sadhanas are either done in brahma-muhurat (early morning - 3:30 am), or late in night (after 10 pm). unless advised otherwise, these are the best times to perform Sadhana. moroever one's body is highly active during early morning, and it is relatively easy to maintain concentration at this time. also, it is better to perform Guru Sadhana & other Sadhanas immediately after wakeup+bath , before eating anything, or speaking to anyone. u will get better results by doing it this way. so, a daily schedule for u cud be to get up at 3 am, take bath etc., change into yellow dhoti + pitambar, and start sadhana. 3:30 am to 5:30 am gives u 2.0 hrs, which sud be enough to perform Sadhana, and chant the mantras. after 5:30, u may start the daily schedule of waking up kids etc.. etc. however, these are just my own views. u will get a confirmed answer by sending mail to mtyv , zm1603@h... wrote: > --- > > dear wong, > jai GuruDev > you are welcome to our parivar, our family. Guest guest
Dear Wong, Jai Gurudev !!! Anu has given a good description of Chetna Mantra. Let me add a few things to it. Yes the purpose of Chetna Mantra is to energise the whole body with Prana. It is said that daily chanting of 1 mala will slowly energise the kundalini n awaken it. Gayatri Mantra will Destroy ur all previous births and this life shortcomings n Guru Mantra which is the powerful of all will do all the things n at the same control the energisation of Kudalini n keep it balanced n in harmony. I guess the Prana ( it is the energy by which anything becomes animate) is different from Soul. Try to perform the sadhana at whatever time it was prescribed. Before starting the sadhna you can chant 1 rosary of Guru Mantra. This will increase ur chances of getting a success in the sadhana. The 4 rosary rounds of ( Mala) Guru Mantra + 1 Rosary round of Cheitanya Mantra + 1 rosary round of ( Mala) Gayatri Mantra. These you can do at whatever time you are comfortable with it according to your daily life. As such it is said that morning time is the best. Yup! perform the sadhana in calmness n with full vigour n determination, love n devotion. Guest guest
Dear Gur Bhai Jaya Guru Dev!!! Welcome to the Siddhashram Sadhak Pariwar. Guru Daily Sadhana is what I believe in most and I do not bother about other Sadhanas as I lack confident in myself on being able to manipulate other daities on my own. More so I believe that Guru Dev will look after my needs as long as I devote myself to Him --- i.e. to his Cause!! I believe in what Guru Dev has said time and again......We are all part of his Pran (life/being) which he has implanted as a separate being 25 lives ago and now he wants us to do Sadhna so that we can merge ourselves back with him as one Being. And one Sadhana I do is Guru Sadhna, if there is anything else I should do He will definitely instruct me to do so. I started my Dainik (daily) Sadhna in 1997 trying to increase the number of Guru Mantra gradually to the current rate of Thirty Malas(rounds of rosary) a day followed by one Mala of Chaitanya Mantra and One Mala of Gayatri Maha Mantra. I have realised that the Sadhana I do is not only dedicated to him but started to believe that it should be credited to Him as we are all part(s) of Him. The Guru Mantra helps fulfill this purpose. As we are bodily separate from him the Chaitanya Mantra helps energize the body to the extent of body parts, cells, molecules, atoms and elements (electron, proton and neutrons). Then we chant Gayaytri Maha Mantra as the main Mantra as a real performance of contribution (pay back ) to Param Pujya Nikhileswarananda maharaj for His kindness on us. I am not saying I am absolutely right. Please judge yourself and decide how you like to perform Sadhana as I have experienced Pujya Guru Dev always treat us all separately and individually with different instructions in different time......
