Guest guest
hi all, looks like there is some confusion over something. i consider myself fortunate to be unaware of it. what i did want to post is another question i had asked Guruji and his answer. there is lot of talk about performing anusthans and so i had asked about should i perform one, he told me i should concentrate on chanting 5 mala till i was somewhat mentally free, and not try to take a decision to do so much, that i may not be able to cope. With everyone so excited about prachar and discussions and working so hard for it, i still take the same stand as anurag for myself. i would rather concentrate on doing sadhnas, get first hand success by my own definitions. And then with GURUji's permission talk about it. having faith is not enough. believing that something works is not enough. showing that it does is. afterall how can you convince anyone of anything you are yourself not sure?? main kahta aakhin dekhi, tu kahta kagaz ki dekhi says kabeer. (i talk of what i have seen with my own eyes, you talk about seeing a mere picture) trying to beat each other in doing GURUseva is anything but laudable. Swami Vivekanda makes a clear distinction between true yogis and talking machines to whom he says religion and philosophy are mere objects of entertainment. "they hear a talk think it very nice, go home and forget all about it. To succeed you must have tremendous energy, tremendous will. I will drink the ocean says the persevering soul, At my will mountains will crumble up" Some days ago, there was a question from Sanjay Dudeja about some monkey man. He asked what is the use of knowing tantra and mantra if we can do nothing about it. Nobody cared to answer. why? 1) Because we have never done any sadhna properly, and have never achieved success. So how can we take up this challenge, or any challenge. 2) we are busy in our own lives, and do not care about what is going wrong at other places--earthquake, or murder or whatever. my own answer is both of them. And as long as it is both of them, i do not consider it honest or myself worthy of any prachar. If my GURU is as close to GOD, as omnipotent as I believe, he does not not need my prachar. If this is not the case, there is no need for prachar. "give up all vain talk, go home and practice." says Swami Vivekananda. whether or not this is a message to all of you, this is surely a message to me. jai GURUDEV anu
