According to Guruji's book 'Mantra Rahasya', if a Sadhak/Sadhika is visited by his/her Guru, he/she must leave all works including Sadhana and attend the Guru. Meeting Guru during Sadhana increases chances of success. So, I feel that even if you break the Sadhana during shivir, it will only increase chances of your success.
