It was a knee jerk reaction,and it so happened that I cudnt control myself after seeing that mail about our Gurudev. Sorry that i am a bit over-sensitive about it. I promise that i will exercise proper restraint, and will not do such emotional outbursts again. Sorry for eating into everyone's bandwidth, and using bad language. Read this in December 1999 issue page 71 of MTYV. Thought it might be a useful checklist for everyone, and am translating it in English here- a. Sometimes one has a collection of more than one similar sadhana article in ome. One sud never have 2 Sivalings, 2 shankhs, 2 Surya idols/photos, 2 shaligram, 2 Gomati Chakra, 3 Ganpati or 3 Devi idols/photos in one's house. Such combination/numbers of idols bring poverty in house. b. Ganpati's idol should be at the most 12 finger-long. It should never be longer than this. c. The temple in the house sud always be in "Ishaan" direction in home. The face of Gods/Goddesses sud face West. English names for all ten directions are available at http://www.siddhashram.org/gaqsadhana.shtml#q31 d. Never use Tulsi dal for Ganpati Sadhana. e. One sud never do more than 1 round of Lord Ganpati's idol. f. Guru poojan sud be done before Ganpati pujan. MTYV mag is full of many such gems of knowledge. Unfortunately, non- hindi people cant read them. I will try to translate and post some lines every week if others want it. btw I will advise everyone to read pages 78-79 of April 96 MTYV magazine.
