Guest guest
Those of you who remember the debate i had with Shri Arvind Ji, here are some points I have concluded. Rahu Kaal 1) Express your day in 24 hrs i,e. 5 a.m = 5:00 hrs. And 5 p.m.= 17:00 Hrs. 2) Find the time of sunrise and sunset for required day.. 3) Subtract sunrise time from sunset time. Call it x. 4) Dividee x by 8. 5) By subsequently addind x to sunsire yoiu can have your day divded into 8 equal parts. 6)Throughout the year the following rules apply: Monday 2nd part Tuesday 7th part Wednesday 5th part Thursday 6th part Friday 4th part Saturday 3rd part Sunday 8th part These remail the same throughout the year. Here is an example. Monday 2nd part is rahu kaal. So if sunrise is at 6:00 hrs and sunset is at 18:00 hrs. Then, 12/8= 1.5. So x=1.5 hrs. The first part of the day is from 6 hrs to 7:30 hrs. The second is 7:30 hrs to 9:00 hrs. This is Rahu kaal. For the finicky, or for very important mahurats this method can be used to check the exact Rahu kaal in India also. ref: http://www.cyberastro.com a site run by IIT engineers i was thinking of consolidating all conclusions i have drawn about auspicious time, but perhaps it is beter to let them sink in first....
