Guest guest
JAI GURUDEV Hi all... In April, Sadhak (www20.brinkster.com) would be one year old. On this occasion, I intend to revamp it, add more features and make it more usable. But, how can do all that without any feedback from you all. Please, help me make Sadhak an even better place to be. Thanks. Guest guest
--dear ashish, 1 suggestion is that we slowly put in parts of GURUji's pravachans ....appealing to us. 2 your policy of doing book reviews is excellent too. since audio clips were too big as discussed earlier, we can put in reviews of cassettes too 3i also suggest that we put in some gen purpose useful sadhnas from older issues just the mantra, clothes direction etc. i do not know if people are allowed to put in their experiences and results.... but if it is allowed it is a good idea. not in terms of divine experiences, but in terms of success of the sadhana. the reason is that though they are genuine we are not able to talk to people who post experiences in the magazine. this will give some kind of a living proof to curious people that sadhnas work -but this is a long term aim for me not something i can do even in 1 year. but if there are other experienced sadhaks it is great idea. 4 also the brunt part should go, not in terms of what you feel, but in terms of experience. my experience e.g. is mahavidya sadhnas are not to be fooled with. amit today wrote to me something similar. this will help people to be careful in the begining...of course an experienced sadhak by guruji's grace can fo anything he chooses. but most people are simple people not capable of following serious restrictions, and not having serious expectations like walking on water either. they usually seek relief from illness, money /personal life matters etc...just what sadhna should be done by normal people in terms of experience from senior sadhaks. - 5 anurag if he takes care of kundalini jagran is an excellent idea. 6 personal encounters with guruji are welcome too 7 discourses /views of other illuminated souls are a great idea too. after reading about vijay's views on yogananda, i bought laws of success and scientific affirmation. i am reading it with the rule with a until i put to practice what is in an essay i do not move on, it is helping me......and i am still on the same page.... 8i am running short of ideas.... 9 of some one has actually accomplishes a high level sadhna successfully, i want to hear about it. i also want to know if there are any restrictions of any kind for life with them... e.g. i told shrivastav uncle i will not do baglamukhi because i cannot promise to take an oath not to touch onion or wine for the rest of my life. his views are very liberal, but i feel unsure by these comments... jaigurudev..... bye anu
Guest guest
JAI GURUDEV Dear Anu... Great suggestions. I have saved all of them. I'll be revamping Sadhak sometime in February or march, but before April. > mahavidya sadhnas are not to be fooled with. amit > today wrote to me something similar. I know, this is not allowed. Sorry Guruji. I'm slightly bending the rule. Yes, Mahavidya Sadhanas are not for everyone because of the huge energy one can get from them. I have performed, though not truly successfully, three of them and believe me, they are harmless. And yes, I eat onion. But, never even touched wine or cigarette (Is the spelling correct?). Yes, if they are not completed, you feel forced to complete them. Try Chhinnamasta Mahavidya and feel the massive power in your Kundalini. This year, I intend to complete all my pending sadhanas. Guest guest
My Dear Friend Ashish, Her are few suggestions or ideas which might be useful:- 1. We can include some features related to certain sadhans which are practiced & results obtained. These should relate to solutions of problems people often face in their life. 2. We can include practical experiences of authentic people for research purpose which can be verified by giving their e-mail address etc. for further query. 3. We can add certain downloads for free relating to religion ,great guru's,saints, desktop items, wallpapers, calender related to hindus auspicious days etc. and or of every religion. 4. We can try to cover the topics related all ancient sciences developed in india like mantra, yantra, occult, palmistry, ayurved, yoga, astrology etc. 5. We can also think on providing e-books related to ancient books of rishis. 6. We can also provide update on any religious fairs, discources, diksha shivirs etc to be held in india or abroad if possible. 7. We can also provide recommended books references for spiritual aspirants with brief coments. 8.We can also think of providing proper addresses,phone,e-mail address of various institutions, ashrams which are authentic & devoted to spiritual development. 9. We can also think of making a kind of panel in future to answer queries related to people. 10. We can also think of providing spiritual inspirational quotes from refrences of great saints of every religion if possible. 11. And of all name of the site should be more convinent & easy to remember than to "blink" quite often to see its spellings or search the siteor revisit. 12. We can also think of getting getting site visible at various search engines if possible. 13. We can also provide address or names of authentic charitable institutions for charity purpose. 14. We can also provide certain health related topics related to spirituality or holistic medicine. Thanks Rohit. - "Ashish Marathe" <nikhilashish <> Wednesday, January 16, 2002 10:48 PM Something for April > JAI GURUDEV > Hi all... > > In April, Sadhak (www20.brinkster.com) would be one > year old. Guest guest
Namaste Ashish! I want to suggest that there be a section on experiences from the sadhanas(like at siddhashram.org). I personally did not believe that things like yantras and poojas make any difference but after reading some of the experiences, that changed me around. Guest guest
Namaste Sri Rohit! You are really terribly well organized. It is good to read a mail which is tabulated logically point by point. I suspect that you are a programmer of sorts- and if I had my own company, I would most certainly hire you. As I mentioned earlier, it is good to have a section with someone's personal experiences. And I was hoping that you would write something on our experience with Om chanting, systematically. The author has had similar experiences to what you had(all except the astral body) so I feel a lot of kinship with you. And I also want to suggest that most of these be posted anonymously as one would not want to awaken the spiritual ego that I achieved so and so.. Thanks for the affection you have shown & we can learn & understand from each other more if you remove that "Sri". I would like to know more about the Book your are referring to & the author. And > I also want to suggest that most of these be posted > anonymously as one would not want to awaken the > spiritual ego that I achieved so and so.. > You are right " thinking of achievements & faliures" only inflates or deflates the mind & ego, both are detrimental to one's spiritual progress. So i try not to remember them both. As far as posting anonymously is concerned it can be done if the subject demands so. On certain subjects i feel that person should be transparent & straightforward in presentation for further clarifications, direct query, genuiness of experience , then the right person should be contacted for further explanation especially for the newcomers to the group. I like your "Namaste" after i understood the significance of it with relation to "five elements" when both palms are joined together with fingers & i would like to know more ,do you "shake hands" or say "Namaste" in day to day living with folded hands & what is the reason you say "Namaste". Are you a follower of "lord shiva" & i will be grateful to you if you suggest me some good "texts". Thanks. Someone once told me an interesting intrepretation of namaste. In pantheistic sense, it means homage to the gods. In a more nondualistic sense, it means I bow to the divine in you. Is not the self in each person a manifestation of the supreme being. Therefore namaste to you Rohit. > > Are you a follower of "lord shiva" & i will be > grateful to you if you > suggest me some good "texts". As my email suggests, I am child of devi, the Divine Mother. But the Divine Mother herself worships the Divine Father. So by saying Aum Namasivaya, I get both their blessings at one shot(kind of greedy, huh?). One of the best books that I have read if you are interested in puranic stories, is Skandapurana. This is truly a wonderful classic. Being giving a summary of it, I must say that you should read it for yourself. I should however suggest that you should read any translation of any book by a saint or holy person as then you would get the inner significance of the story. To read a literal translation of the original book can sometimes be nauseating.
