Alchemy The Big Picture

 

 

According to legend, the science of spiritual liberation known as

Alchemy was imparted to man by the gods from the heavens around the time

of Atlantis, then made its way through Sumeria, India, China, Egypt,

Israel, Europe and America. I like to refer to this as "The Big

Picture." It is a picture that covers all of history and addresses the

deepest questions of life. One of the centers of this mythology is the

small village in southern France known as Rennes-le-Chateau.

 

Many connect Rennes-le-Chateau with Secret Societies, Knights Templar,

Jesus, King Solomon's Alchemical Treasure, Holy Grail, Ark of the

Covenant, Freemasons, The Vatican, Nazi's, Royalty of Europe, and

ultimately with Atlantis and Alchemy. This vast and complex story spans

hundreds and thousands of years, right up to the present day with the

current mid-east crisis which revolves around control of King Solomon's

Temple in Jerusalem plus the founding of America by the Freemasons.

 

In 1982, an investigative book was released titled Holy Blood Holy Grail

by Henry Lincoln, Michael Baigent, and Richard Leigh. It ignited a

controversy which has not stopped. Numerous books on this subject have

been released since then, and an entire cottage industry has evolved

from it.

 

The basic premise of the book according to the authors research is the

following. Jesus did not die on the cross, but survived the crucifixion

and then traveled with Mary Magdalen to southern France. They had

children which went on to become part of the Royalty of Europe. The

secret society which is claimed to contain this secret and carries on

the tradition is known as the Priory of Sion.

 

The story centers around a poor parish priest named Berenger Sauniere.

In 1885 he was appointed to the church at Rennes-le-Chateau. Shortly

thereafter, it is claimed he discovered parchment records hidden at the

church related to the Priory of Sion. He then became mysteriously

wealthy and spent a very large amount of money renovating and building

upon the church.

 

The primary speculation is that he was funded by the Vatican to keep him

quiet due to the explosive secrets he discovered which would have

undermined the Vatican. Also the mythology of Atlantis is connected with

the south of France, plus the treasure of King Solomon's Temple

transported by the Knights Templar is purported to be buried in the

area. It is documented that Otto Rahn was appointed by Adolph Hitler to

search the area for treasure when the Nazi's were in power.

 

Author William Henry has documented in his work that Franklin Roosevelt

and Adolph Hitler were both in a hidden race to locate the treasure and

the secrets connected with the Holy Grail, King Solomon's Temple, and

Atlantis. The idea is that those who hold the treasure hold the power.

Modern movies like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Seven Years in Tibet

reflect part of this story.

 

Some claim that after 1307 when the Knights Templar were forced to

dissolve, the knowledge in Europe independent of the Priory of Sion went

underground and that fragments of the knowledge made its way into public

organizations which then became distorted and abused in political power

plays. This is where much of the modern day conspiracy theories have

their origin. It is claimed the alchemist Fulcanelli is the last link to

the original knowledge in Europe.

 

The knowledge of Alchemy has become so fragmented and lost, that most

think it is simply the attempt to change lead into gold instead of being

the science of spiritual liberation. What remains today, is the shadow

of the original knowledge as seen in the rituals of orthodox religion.

Direct spiritual experience has been replaced with faith, and embodied

soul liberation has been replaced with death.

 

Author Richard C. Hoagland has discovered that key individuals in the

NASA space program are Freemasons. Richard claims the NASA mission to

explore outer space has its roots with Freemason philosophy. Symbolism

and hidden rituals in NASA trace to Freemasonry which traces to the

alchemical symbolism of Isis, Osiris and the star Sirius of Egyptian

spiritual philosophy. Richard just signed a movie deal with RKO

pictures. Perhaps we will see some of this information in his movie.

Stuart Urban has just directed his version of what I have outlined here

in a new movie titled Revelation scheduled for release in Spring 2002.

 

You can also factor in the purported Hall of Records in Egypt which some

claim contains the authentic history of planet Earth and the knowledge

of Alchemy. Also of note, In Knights Templar lore, the Knights Templars

crossed the ocean from Europe following the star of La Merica and named

the new continent America one hundred years before Columbus.

 

A recent and controversial development in this unfolding drama is the

research of Boyd Rice and Tracy Twyman. They are promoting the idea that

a religious political figure they are calling the Antichrist will rise

out of European Royalty and that this figure will usher in a new golden

age. In 2000 they traveled to France with Fox TV and filmed a

documentary about Secret Societies and Rennes-le-Chateau. They now claim

to have discovered information regarding the treasures location and are

due to return to France to unearth it. According to prophecy in the

Bible, the Antichrist is one who brings peace to the middle east but

then deceives the masses by bringing the last world war.

>From the positive side, others are currently working on alternate

information regarding the treasures location and plan to help locate it.

Separating fact from fiction with conflicting stories is not an easy

proposition regarding this enigmatic mythology, but current world events

seem to reflect the manifestation of this karmic and cosmic drama. Very

few are aware of "The Big Picture." Many feel that we are currently at a

turning point in history when the science from the past is about to

become the science of the future. For me, this has been an incredible

journey of self discovery and a quest to help uncover and revive the

lost science of Alchemy.
