As such if u light with full devotion and love and look at it it gives a very enligtening and pure feeling. It symolises life to me in all purity. Also i guess burning of ghee might help in destroying air borne microbes. I had asked some questions in www.allexperts.com on hinduism. My questions were: 1)I want to know the reasons why we have to light a lamp in front of god and why we have to give arti to them.
