RE: Looking for "Lakshmi brand" incense from India, manufacturer or distributor

~

Dear folks,

I used a particular incense in the 1970s and loved it. This incense is from

India

and is called "Lakshmi brand." It was (and still is) used by teachers of the

Transcendental Meditation Program, but I want to find a supplier independent of

the

TM movement. I am looking for assistance in finding a US or Indian distributor,

or

the manufacturer in India.

Someone told me several incense companies in India go by the brand name of

LAKSHMI, which is akin to looking for "John Smith" (there are zillions of John

Smiths). The only solid clue I have is the old waxed paper wrappers the incense

sticks came in. The waxed paper wrapper looks something like this:

----------

Imported from India LAKSHMI BRAND 25 Incense Sticks

TEMPLE Sandalwood INCENSE

How to use the stick--Fix the bare end in a stand before lighting and light

the stick to blow out fragrance. Always keep the sticks dry in the cover.

----------

Does the wrapper look familiar? There are no graphics on the wrapper, just

lettering. Besides Sandalwood, this particular manufacturer has a "flavor"

called

"SUPER MIX," which is written in two words on another wrapper I have in front of

me. The incense itself is in the form of sticks, the stick is colored green, and

the

incense is colored tan. Each stick is eight inches, rather short for incense

sticks. I'd

like to buy a case of it.

Someone told me they thought that Yoga brand incense is what I am looking

for.

It is NOT. I found Yoga brand incense, bought some, tried it out and is

definitely NOT

the same thing. So the Yoga brand lead is a deadend.

I have already spent several weeks looking on the Internet, including

several

search engines on India and its interests. I have contacted several distributors

and

manufacturers of incense in India, to no avail. Got any ideas?

Thanks.

Sincerely,
